Discussion > HO chimneys

I just made some chimneys using a Clever texture. I think they turned out looking quite sharp -- better than boughten chimneys!

Very nice! I did something similar for a model of a local house. These chimneys are straight as they were used for space heaters. I used basswood for cores, and wrapped them in brick texture paper. The flared bottoms are three-, two-, and one-brick wide strips wrapped around. The house support piers are also brick texture paper wrapped on basswood. The roof shingles, siding and window treatments are also Clever Models textures.
