Just a reminder, that at the end of the month, I will be looking at who made purchases this month (July) and calculating future credits and or bonuses. Everyone will be notified individually of how many credits they have earned and how to redeem them.

Our good friends John and Chris Kosma’s “Gypsy Trolley Line” won best of show for modules at the 75th NMRA convention in Milwaukee. John has been a suporter of card stock modeling from the start and some of our popular kits are based on his designs. The GTL is a beautiful railroad.

Scott Robberts is the tallented modeler who made this great build. It’s a perfect example of how paper models can stand sholder to sholder with wood kits to enhance a scene. Scott used craftsmanship and a great eye to take our basic shed and make it somthing special. If you remember the shed from the original build contest, you’ll appreciate these. These photos were not a part of the contest but were sent some time later.

This is a fantastic bit of photography on a slightly modified and very cleanly built kit.

A new freebie

I’m trying something a bit different this month. I just put up a file called “Mike’s Luggage”. This is a sheet of O scale steel signage. This should be useful for everyone, even the folks who say they won’t use paper models. This is also a bit of a tease. We have about 2 dozen similar signage kits ready to go and we do have them in all the scales. I’m posting the O scale since signs can be easily resized and are generally not scale specific.

Models that will be showing up for download soon will include sets of interior pieces, window awnings and many more signs.

NEW KIT added to models page

We just added American Steel Pipe Works to our list of available models. This is something that the steel mill modelers, out ther have asked for, for a long time. It is a “low-relief” kit meant to be up against the backdrop, but using some ingenuity and liberal amounts of various colors of our corrugated steel sheet textures, can, and has, been made into a huge foreground model. Just print out the ends twice and connect them with as much sheeting, in between as you like. That is what makes cardstock modeling the great medium that it is. You can build something twice the size of anything else on the market for 1/10 the cost.

Unfortunatly it has come to our attention that some morally challenged individuals feel it is all right to screen grab the sample textures displayed on this web site. It is not and constitutes theft of copyrighted material. We are taking action to stop this activity. We appologize to the honest majority who have continued to support our work.

To be absolutly clear. It is not OK to screen grab images from this website. It is THEFT and if you do it you are a thief and WE DO TRACK ALL WEB ACTIVITY and Square Soft records all page views and activity. That includes all server addresses.

Jee’s it’s only a buck and a quarter.

DOWNLOADS ANNOUNCEMENT

For many of you out there, you already know that most of our textures and kits have been available as instant downloads. (Because while we have been in the lengthy process of adding them, you have been “finding” them.) For the rest of you here is the official announcement that all of our current textures, all of our Volumn 1 kits and a couple of NEW kits are available as instant downloads. (We have eliminated a couple of our items like signs and the like, but they will be back in a better and more organized form soon.)

The process is simple. Go to either the TEXTURES or MODELS pages.

On the TEXTURE page you will see a bunch of thumbnails. To get a much bigger view, click on a thumbnail and a new view with “ADD to CART” buttons will appear. Just click a button to purchase. You will be directed to your shopping cart and will be given instructions how to check out from there.

On the MODELS page you will see the same pix that you are familiar with, if you have been here before, but you will also see “ADD to CART” buttons, which you click on to purchase. If you click on the picture, you will be taken to a better view.

Full instructions will be given on how to download the files when you click on an “ADD” button.

We will continue to keep adding new items as fast as we can, so keep watching for new arrivals. By the way, there are four new textures available now that our Steel Mill customers might like. Take a look.
