Wondering if you participated in this?

Hi everyone.  First let me again, thank you all for your support of Clever Models.  This year is on track to be our best year ever and it’s all because of YOU!

Second, In the last month we have tried somethiing new.  Twice we have had 50% off sales, but only for those who attended certain events and received a “code” to enter when checking out an order which gave you 50% off of your entire purchase, not including shipping.

I thought it would be easy to track those orders, but alas, I’m either mistaken or just plain dumb, or nobody took advantage.  So, if you attended those events, which were Ed Traxler’s recent clinic on paper models for an NMRA regional, or the O scale March Meet and used the feature, please let me know at <mize1@sbcglobal.net>.  Please let me know also, if there were any problems and how easy it was to understand the procedure.  All that was necessary, was to type an 8 digit code number into a box on the normal checkout screen.

I hope that many of you used this opportunity.  There will be more so that the majority of you can get in on the savings, not just those that attend special events.

I would like to see someone upload a video on Paper Demo's at these events, many of us are not in a location to take in these demo's first hand.

There are many customers such as myself that have already purchased every CD and downloadable model. So....why would we download a model we already have to get 50% off. Put something new up and I am sure that you will see us taking advantage of such a sale.

Hello Dave:

This evening I tried to purchase two CD's using the special you just announced. Paypal will not accept the code stating it was not accurate. I tried to cut and past as well as type it in, the same result both times.

Honestly, I will probably get the CD's anyway because I really like the way these can be modified so easily for my needs.

Also, thanks for the image of the sidewalk grate. It helped me understand how to use it.

I am sorry to have missed Ed's clinic, as well. If you are in central Florida, I am giving a hands-on clinic in a couple of weekends and I am giving two clinics at the NMRA Nationals in Atlanta in July. There are lots opportunities as the number of paper-modelers increases.

Well folks, we learn as we go around here. I just learned something new. The discount offer that I posted the other day, does NOT work with DVD orders. It's a long story, but something I will be working on to fix. Until then, if you wish to get the discount, (I know this is a hassle) please place your order the normal way. You will be charged full price. Then email me at <mize1@sbcglobal.net> that you would like the discount and I will refund 1/2 of your purchase price, not including the shipping. Again, I know that this is a pain in the neck and shame on me for not realizing that this would happen beforehand, but this time around, it can't be helped. It has to do with the fact that we have to use two different servers. One for downloads and one for DVD orders.

I am going to buy a copy of each of your DVD's I don't have yet. With all of the DVD's will I have a complete set of all the models you sell?

If not, what other models would I need to have a complete set?

Untill we get the code to work for DVD sales. I will manually issue discounts. Make your order and email me the code. I will reimburse the discount. I've already done this once and wile its a bit more effort on your part. I'm happy to do it.

Bill F, I'm actually not sure. Of course we are always adding kits. There might be some duplication across disks. I know Dave tracks the disk contents closer then I do. There are now 13 DVD's available. There are a lot of obscure extras.
